Configuring CCC VPWS

Configuring local and remote CCC connections allows CEs to communicate.

Usage Scenario

CCC is best suited for small MPLS networks with simple topologies. Because it does not require signaling negotiation or control packet exchange, CCC consumes fewer resources; however, it must be configured by network administrators, and therefore has poor scalability and is difficult to maintain.

Pre-configuration Tasks

Before configuring CCC VPWS, complete the following tasks:

  • Configure static routes or an IGP protocol on PEs and P devices on the MPLS backbone network to provide IP connectivity.

  • Configure basic MPLS functions on PEs and P devices on the MPLS backbone network.

  • Establish tunnels between PEs based on the configured tunnel policy. (If no tunnel policy is configured, the default tunnel policy that specifies LDP LSPs is used.)
