In single-neighbor networking, devices are directly connected, and each device interface connects only to one neighbor. In Figure 1, DeviceA and DeviceB are directly connected, and each interface on DeviceA and DeviceB connects only to one neighbor.
After enabling Link Automatic Discovery (LAD) on DeviceA, administrators can use the NMS to obtain Layer 2 configurations of DeviceA and DeviceB, get a detailed network topology, and determine whether a configuration conflict exists. LAD helps improve security and stability for network communication.
