Table 1 lists multicast network management configuration tasks.
Task |
Description |
---|---|
Configuring Basic Multicast Network Management Functions | After multicast network management is enabled, you can bind multicast MIBs to the public network instance and enable trap of a specified module. The switch then monitors events of the specified protocol. Currently, the switch supports the following multicast MIBs:
|
Adjusting the Frequency of Multicast Protocol Trap Messages | By setting the interval at which a multicast protocol sends trap messages, you can monitor events of the multicast protocol in a timely manner. |
Configuring the Upper and Lower Alarm Thresholds for Multicast Protocol Entries | After you set thresholds for various multicast protocol entries, the switch will report a threshold crossing event when the number of multicast protocol entries reaches a specified value. |
Configuring Alarm Thresholds for Multicast Index Usage | After setting the alarm threshold of the multicast index usage, you can learn the multicast index usage in a timely manner. This prevents multicast service failures caused by index resource exhaustion. |
