ND

Context

To filter invalid packets, you can create ND entries, binding the destination IPv6 addresses of these invalid packets to nonexistent MAC addresses.

Procedure

  • Create a static ND entry.
    1. Choose Configuration > Advanced Services > IP Services > ND > Static ND to access the Static ND page.
    2. Click Create, as shown in Figure 1.

      Parameter

      Description

      Destination IPv6 address

      Specifies the destination IPv6 address in the static ND entry.

      VLAN ID

      Specifies the ID of the outer VLAN to which an interface belongs.

      Destination MAC address

      Specifies the destination MAC address in the static ND entry.

      Outbound interface

      Click to select the outbound interface of ND packets.
      NOTE:

      The interface must be a member of the specified VLAN.

    3. Set the parameters.
    4. Click OK.
  • Modify a static ND entry.
    1. Choose Configuration > Advanced Services > IP Services > ND > Static ND to access the Static ND page.
    2. Click a destination IPv6 address in the static ND entry list to access the corresponding static ND entry modification page, as shown in Figure 2.

      Table 1 describes parameters on the page.

      The destination IPv6 address and VLAN ID cannot be modified.

    3. Modify the configuration parameters.
    4. Click OK.
  • Delete a static ND entry.
    1. Choose Configuration > Advanced Services > IP Services > ND > Static ND to access the Static ND page.
    2. Select a record that you want to delete and click Delete. The system asks you whether to delete the record.
    3. Click OK.
  • Clear all static ND entries.
    1. Choose Configuration > Advanced Services > IP Services > ND > Static ND to access the Static ND page.
    2. Click Clear ALL Static ND Entries. The system asks you whether to delete all static ND entries.
    3. Click OK.
  • Update a static ND entry.
    1. Choose Configuration > Advanced Services > IP Services > ND > Static ND to access the Static ND page.
    2. Click Refresh.
  • Clear all dynamic ND entries.
    1. Choose Configuration > Advanced Services > IP Services > ND > Dynamic ND to access the Dynamic ND page.
    2. Click Clear ALL Dynamic ND Entries. The system asks you whether to delete all dynamic ND entries.
    3. Click OK.
  • Update a dynamic ND entry.
    1. Choose Configuration > Advanced Services > IP Services > ND > Dynamic ND to access the Dynamic ND page.
    2. Click Refresh.
