Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The BAS interface format in the calling-number AVP attribute sent by Redback devices is slot/port. Therefore, a Huawei device functioning as an LAC needs to use the same format when exchanging calling-number AVP attribute information with a Redback device. To set the format to slot/port, run the avp calling-number interface-format exclude sub-slot command in the L2TP group view.

Precautions

The avp calling-number interface-format exclude sub-slot command takes effect only when the BAS interface on the LAC is an Eth-Trunk, GE.

The avp calling-number interface-format exclude sub-slot command takes effect only when the source tunnel interface configured for the LNS backup group on the LTS is an Eth-Trunk or GE interface.
