The binding interface time-slot command binds timeslots or sub-timeslots to a flexible Ethernet (FlexE) Client. The bound timeslots constitute bandwidth of the FlexE client.
The undo binding interface time-slot command unbinds timeslots or sub-timeslots from a FlexE client.
By default, no timeslot is bound to a FlexE client, that is, the default bandwidth is 0.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F2A.
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
iftype |
Specifies an interface type. |
The value is a string of 1 to 32 characters. |
ifnum |
Specifies an interface number. |
The value is a string of 1 to 32 characters. |
time-slot timeslot-list |
Specifies a list of timeslots with the 5 Gbit/s granularity to be bound. |
The value is a string of 1 to 199 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported. |
sub-time-slot subtimeslots |
Specifies a list of sub-timeslots. |
The value is a string of 1 to 9 characters. A timeslot list is continuous, consecutive, or hybrid. A continuous timeslot list uses an en dash (?). For example, 1-3 indicates sub-timeslots 1 to 3. A consecutive timeslot list uses a comma (,) for separation. For example, 1, 3. A hybrid list uses both symbols. For example, 1-2, 4. |
Usage Scenario
To bind one or more 5 Gbit/s timeslots of a physical interface in FlexE mode in a FlexE group or one or more sub-timeslots in a 5 Gbit/s timeslot to a FlexE client, run the binding interface time-slot command. The bound timeslots or sub-timeslots constitute bandwidth of the FlexE client.
Prerequisites
A physical interface in FlexE mode has been added to a FlexE group using the binding interface command.
To bind sub-timeslots with the 1 Gbit/s granularity, ensure that the sub-timeslot granularity has been set to 1 Gbit/s using the set flexe sub-time-slot granula command.Precautions
In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
