dhcpv6 relay option-insert

Function

The dhcpv6 relay option-insert command enables a DHCPv6 relay agent to add the Option to a Relay-Forward message sent to a DHCPv6 server in BAS relay scenarios.

The undo dhcpv6 relay option-insert command disables a DHCPv6 relay agent from adding the Option to a Relay-Forward message sent to a DHCPv6 server in BAS relay scenarios.

By default, a DHCPv6 relay agent is disabled from adding the Option.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

dhcpv6 relay option-insert option-code1

dhcpv6 relay option-insert option-code2 mode cn-telecom version2

undo dhcpv6 relay option-insert option-code1

undo dhcpv6 relay option-insert option-code2 mode cn-telecom version2

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
option-code1

DHCPv6 Option Code.

The type is integer, The value is 79.

option-code2

DHCPv6 Option Code.

The type is integer, The value is 18.

mode

Specifies the encapsulation mode.

cn-telecom

Indicates that data is encapsulated in the format defined by cn-telecom.

version2

Indicates that data is encapsulated in the Version2 format.

Usage Guidelines

This command applies only to BRAS relay scenarios in a remote address pool. In BRAS relay scenarios, when a remote IPv6 address is used for address allocation, the DHCPv6 server encapsulates the Option attribute based on the fixed format. In this case, you need to run this command.
