The emdi alarm threshold command configures the alarm thresholds of the packet loss rate and packet disorder rate in EMDI detection.
The undo emdi alarm threshold command restores the default configuration.
By default, the alarm thresholds corresponding to various EMDI monitoring periods are shown in Guide:
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
rtp-lr |
Indicates the packet loss rate of RTP packets. |
- |
rtp-ser |
Indicates the packet disorder rate of RTP packets. |
- |
sd |
Indicates the SD video source. |
- |
hd |
Indicates the HD video source. |
- |
4k |
Indicates the 4K video source. |
- |
threshold-value |
Specifies an alarm threshold. |
The value is an integer that ranges from 1 to 5000, in 1/100000. |
Usage Scenario
When a device deployed with the EMDI detection solution detects that the packet disorder rate and packet loss rate of various video streams exceed the specified thresholds, the device reports an alarm to the NMS. To configure the alarm thresholds of the packet loss rate and packet disorder rate for various video sources (SD, HD, and 4K), run the emdi alarm threshold command.
By default, the alarm thresholds corresponding to various EMDI monitoring periods are as follows:Monitoring Period | Threshold of Packet Loss Rate (SD) | Threshold of Packet Loss Rate (HD) | Threshold of Packet Loss Rate (4K) | Threshold of Packet Disorder Rate (SD) | Threshold of Packet Disorder Rate (HD) | Threshold of Packet Disorder Rate (4K) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
60s | 38 | 9 | 3 | 38 | 9 | 3 |
30s | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
10s | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
Configuration Impact
When a detection indicator equals to the configured alarm threshold, an alarm is generated.
Precautions
When the monitoring period has been changed using the emdi monitor-period command, the alarm thresholds are automatically changed to the default values corresponding to the new monitoring period.
