Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

An alarm filtering table can be bound to an NMS host to filter out alarms that users are not concerned about.

Prerequisites

  • The alarm filtering table exists.
  • The device can access the NMS host.

Configuration Impact

After an alarm filtering table is bound to a terminal, the alarms that match the entries in the table are not reported to the terminal.

Example

# Bind the alarm filtering table named mask1 to the NMS terminal named target_host_1.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] snmp-agent target-host host-name target_host_1 inform address udp-domain 192.168.3.1 params securityname a123 v3
[*HUAWEI] alarm
[*HUAWEI-alarm] snmp target-host target_host_1 mask name mask1
