Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After ESQM is enabled globally, you must configure a packet sampling direction before starting ESQM. To configure a packet sampling direction for ESQM globally, run the esqm service-stream command in the ESQM view.

  • If vpn-instance vpn-instance-name is specified, ESQM is performed for inbound or outbound packets on all the interfaces to which the specified VPN instance is bound.
  • If vpn-instance vpn-instance-name is not specified, ESQM is performed for inbound or outbound packets on all the interfaces to which no VPN instance is bound.

Example

# Configure a device to perform ESQM for inbound packets on all interfaces to which no VPN instance is bound.
