esqm service-stream

Function

The esqm service-stream command configures a packet sampling direction for ESQM globally.

The undo esqm service-stream command restores the default configuration.

By default, no packet sampling direction is configured for ESQM.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

esqm service-stream { inbound | outbound } [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]

undo esqm service-stream { inbound | outbound } [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]

Parameters

inbound	Configures the sampling direction of ESQM to be inbound.	-
outbound	Configures the sampling direction of ESQM to be outbound.	-
vpn-instance vpn-instance-name	Specifies the VPN instance name.	The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported. When double quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After ESQM is enabled globally, you must configure a packet sampling direction before starting ESQM. To configure a packet sampling direction for ESQM globally, run the esqm service-stream command in the ESQM view.

If vpn-instance vpn-instance-name is specified, ESQM is performed for inbound or outbound packets on all the interfaces to which the specified VPN instance is bound.
If vpn-instance vpn-instance-name is not specified, ESQM is performed for inbound or outbound packets on all the interfaces to which no VPN instance is bound.
