The forward-mode l2tp command configures an interface board to forward L2TP traffic in software or hardware loopback mode.
The undo forward-mode l2tp command restores the default configuration.
By default, an interface board forwards L2TP traffic in software loopback mode.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
through |
Configures an interface board to forward L2TP traffic in software loopback mode. In this mode, the device allocates all bandwidth resources of the board to the interface that is used to forward L2TP traffic. HQoS for downstream traffic is not supported. |
- |
loopback |
Configures an interface board to forward L2TP traffic in hardware loopback mode. In this mode, the device allocates half of bandwidth resources of the board to the interface that is used to forward L2TP traffic. HQoS for downstream traffic is supported. |
- |
To configure an interface board to forward L2TP traffic in high-performance software loopback mode, run the forward-mode through l2tp command. If the L2TP traffic rate on an interface is lower than half of the total bandwidth of the interface board, configuring the forward-mode loopback l2tp command is recommended.
