nbns

Function

The nbns command specifies an NBNS server for the current domain.

The undo nbns command deletes an NBNS server of the current domain.

By default, no NBNS server is configured to any domain.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

nbns { primary-ip | second-ip } ip-address

undo nbns { primary-ip | second-ip }

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
primary-ip

Specifies the primary NBNS server.

second-ip

Specifies the secondary NBNS server.

ip-address

Specifies the IP address of the NBNS server.

It is in dotted decimal format and must be a valid unicast address.

Modifications of the NBNS server specified by the domain take effect during next login.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Specify the server at 10.1.1.1 as the primary NBNS server to the current domain.
