peer enable (BGP-IPv4 multicast address family view)

Function

The peer enable command enables an MBGP device to exchange routes with a specified multicast peer.

The undo peer enable command disables an MBGP device from exchanging routes with a specified multicast peer.

By default, an MBGP device is disabled from exchanging routes with a multicast peer.

Format

peer peer-address enable

undo peer peer-address enable

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
peer-address

Specifies the IP address of an MBGP peer.

The address is in dotted decimal notation.

Usage Scenario

After the peer enable command is run on an MBGP device, the MBGP device establishes an MBGP connection with a specified peer or peer group.
