Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After creating a VSI, you must specify the signaling mode for the VSI before performing other configurations.

Prerequisites

A VSI has been created or the VSI view is displayed using the vsi vsi-name command.

Configuration Impact

After LDP or BGP is specified as the signaling mode for a VSI, the VSI negotiates private network labels and sets up a PW based on the LDP or BGP signaling.

Follow-up Procedure

After you run this command to enter the VSI-LDP or VSI-BGP view, you also need to set the VSI ID and specify the VSI peer to complete the VSI configuration.

Example

# Configure the signaling mode as BGP for VSI vsi1.
<HUAWEI> system-view

[*HUAWEI] mpls l2vpn
[*HUAWEI-l2vpn] quit
[*HUAWEI] vsi vsi1 auto bd-mode
