Function

The radius-attribute service-type value user-type ipoe command configures the Service-Type attribute value as Outbound (5) in common IPoE users' authentication and accounting request packets sent to the RADIUS server.

The undo radius-attribute service-type value command restores the default configuration.

By default, the Service-Type attribute value is Framed (2) in common IPoE users' authentication and accounting request packets sent to the RADIUS server.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

radius-attribute service-type value { value | outbound } user-type ipoe [ value-added-service ]

undo radius-attribute service-type value [ { value | outbound } user-type ipoe ] [ value-added-service ]

Specifies the Service-Type attribute value.

The value is 5.

outbound

Service type value outbound.

Enable/disable the value-added-service when the Service-Type attribute value as 5 in common IPoE users' authentication and accounting request packets sent to the RADIUS server.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To configure the Service-Type attribute value as Outbound (5) in common IPoE users' authentication and accounting request packets sent to the RADIUS server, run the radius-attribute service-type value command.

To configure the Service-Type attribute value as Outbound (5) in common IPoE users' authentication and accounting request packets sent to the RADIUS server for value added services, you must add the value-added-service keyword to the command.

Configuration Impact

Running the radius-attribute service-type value command or its undo form takes effect immediately for online users.

The command configuration does not take effect for:

  • IPoE users that use EAP relay authentication
  • IPoE web re-authentication triggered by CoA packets
  • RADIUS packets sent for value-added services

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
