remote-backup-service

Function

The remote-backup-service command creates an RBS and displays the RBS view. If a specified RBS already exists, this command directly displays the RBS view.

The undo remote-backup-service command deletes a specified RBS.

By default, no RBS is created.

Format

remote-backup-service remote-backup-service-name

undo remote-backup-service remote-backup-service-name

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
remote-backup-service-name

Specifies the name of an RBS.

The value is a string of 1 to 32 case-insensitive characters. The name can only contain digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.). It cannot contain spaces.

Usage Scenario

An RBS is used to implement dual-device backup. To create an RBS and display the RBS view, run the remote-backup-service command.

Follow-up Procedure

Run the remote-backup-profile file-name command to create an RBP.
