service-instance-group(System view)

Function

The service-instance-group command creates a value-added service management (VSM) high availability (HA) instance group or displays the VSM HA instance group view.

The undo service-instance-group command deletes a VSM HA instance group.

By default, no VSM HA instance group is configured.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

service-instance-group service-instance-group-name

undo service-instance-group [ service-instance-group-name ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
service-instance-group service-instance-group-name

Specifies the name of a VSM HA instance group.

The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported. When double quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.

Usage Scenario

VSM HA backup groups can be bound to a VSM HA instance group. A service instance must be bound to a VSM HA instance group before services are properly transmitted.
