Function

The tunnel hello peer-check command configures to send Hello packets after a Hello interval from when it receives Hello packets from the peer end.

The undo tunnel hello peer-check command restores the default configuration.

By default, the device sends Hello packets to the peer end at intervals, irrespective whether it receives Hello packets from the peer end.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To allow the device to send Hello packets after it receives Hello packets from a non-Huawei device, run the tunnel hello peer-check command.

Configuration Impact

By default, the device sends Hello packets to the peer end at intervals on an L2TP tunnel, irrespective whether it receives Hello packets from the peer end. After the tunnel hello peer-check command is run, the device sends Hello packets after a Hello interval from when it receives Hello packets from the peer end.
