Message

L2-MULTICAST/2/QINQ_IF_CHNL_BDW_EXD_TRAP: Exceed the bandwidth limit on multicast groups.(ChannelName=[ChannelName], IfIndex=[IfIndex], IfName=[IfName], ConfiguredValue=[ConfiguredValue], CurrentMulticastGroup=[CurrentMulticastGroup], CurrentMulticastSource=[CurrentMulticastSource], PE-Vid=[PE-Vid], CE-Vid=[CE-Vid])

Description

The bandwidth of multicast groups on the sub-interface for QinQ VLAN tag termination exceeded the upper limit.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

ChannelName

Indicates the channel name.

IfIndex

Indicates the QinQ interface index.

IfName

Indicates the QinQ interface name.

ConfiguredValue

Indicates the configured limit.

CurrentMulticastGroup

Indicates the current multicast group.

CurrentMulticastSource

Indicates the current multicast source.

PE-Vid

Indicates the outer VLAN tag.

CE-Vid

Indicates the inner VLAN tag.

Possible Causes

New multicast groups attempted to join the channel on the sub-interface when the number of multicast groups in the channel on the sub-interface reached or exceeded the configured limit.

Procedure

1. Run the display l2-multicast limit command to check whether the configured bandwidth limit for multicast groups in the channel on the current QinQ termination sub-interface is smaller than or equal to the statistics.

  • If so, go to Step 2.
  • If not, go to Step 6.

2. Run the undo l2-multicast dynamic-group command to delete unneeded entries, and then check whether the alarm recurs.

  • If so, go to Step 3.
  • If not, go to Step 4.

3. Lower the configured bandwidth limit for multicast groups on the current QinQ termination sub-interface as required, and then check whether the alarm recurs.

  • If so, go to Step 4.
  • If not, go to Step 7.

4. Run the display l2-multicast limit channel channel-name command to check whether the configured bandwidth limit for the multicast groups in the channel on the current QinQ termination sub-interface is too small.

  • If so, go to Step 5.
  • If not, go to Step 6.

5. Increase the bandwidth limit for the multicast groups in the channel on the current QinQ termination sub-interface as required, and then check whether the alarm recurs.

  • If so, go to Step 6.
  • If not, go to Step 7.

6. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

7. End.
