SYSTEM/2/hwStorageUtilizationRisingAlarm_active

Message

SYSTEM/2/hwStorageUtilizationRisingAlarm_active: The storage usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold. (TrapSeverity=[TrapSeverity], ProbableCause=[ProbableCause], EventType=[EventType], PhysicalIndex=[PhysicalIndex], PhysicalName=[PhysicalName], RelativeResource=[RelativeResource], UsageType=[UsageType], SubIndex=[SubIndex], UsageValue=[UsageValue], Unit=[Unit], UsageThreshold=[UsageThreshold])

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

The device continuously samples the storage usage, such as the memory usage and storage medium usage. In a sampling period (number of consecutive overload times x sampling interval), if the usage sampled every time is greater than the overload threshold, this alarm is generated.

Possible Causes

  • Cause 2: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
  • Cause 3: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set fully loaded threshold.
  • Cause 75264: The memory usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
  • Cause 75265: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set overload threshold
  • Cause 75268: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set fully loaded threshold.
  • Cause 75269: The memory usage of one process exceeded the pre-set overload threshold. The max memory size is 3G for one process.
  • Cause 75271: The forwarding CPU memory usage exceed the preset threshold.

Procedure

  • Cause 2: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.

    1. Run the cd command in the user view to enter the corresponding storage medium directory, and then run the dir command to check the storage space usage of the storage medium.

    • If the storage usage of the storage medium is higher than the overload threshold, go to Step 2.
    • If the storage medium usage is lower than the overload threshold, go to Step 3.

    2. Delete unnecessary files to reduce the storage space usage of the storage medium. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is no longer generated, the problem is resolved.
    • If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.

    3. Collect alarm and configuration information, and contact technical support.

  • Cause 3: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set fully loaded threshold.

  • Cause 75264: The memory usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.

    1. Run the display memory-usage slot slot-id command to check the memory usage and run the display memory-usage threshold slot slot-id command to check the overload threshold.

    • If the memory usage is higher than the overload threshold, go to Step 2.
    • If the memory usage is lower than the overload threshold, go to Step 4.

    2. Delete unnecessary services and configurations to reduce memory usage. Then check whether the alarm is cleared. When deleting service configurations, submit the configurations in small batches (3 to 5 records at a time).

    • If the alarm is no longer generated, the problem is resolved.
    • If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.

    3. Run the set memory-usage threshold threshold-value restore restore-value slot slot-id command to adjust the overload threshold and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is no longer generated, the problem is resolved.
    • If the alarm persists, go to Step 4.

    4. Collect log files and contact Huawei technical support.

  • Cause 75265: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set overload threshold

    1. Run the cd command in the user view to access the CF card directory and run the dir command to check the CF card storage space usage.

    • If the CF card storage usage is higher than the overload threshold, go to Step 2.
    • If the CF card storage usage is lower than the overload threshold, go to Step 3.

    2. Delete unnecessary files to reduce the CF card storage space usage. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is no longer generated, the problem is resolved.
    • If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.

    3. Collect log files and contact Huawei technical support.

  • Cause 75268: The storage usage of the CF card exceeded the pre-set fully loaded threshold.

  • Cause 75269: The memory usage of one process exceeded the pre-set overload threshold. The max memory size is 3G for one process.

    1. Run the display memory slot slotid command to check the process with the highest memory usage.

    2. Delete unnecessary services and configurations. Wait for 1 minute and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is no longer generated, go to Step 4.
    • If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.

    3. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support.

    4. End

  • Cause 75271: The forwarding CPU memory usage exceed the preset threshold.

Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support.
