SYSTEM/2/hwStorageUtilizationRisingAlarm_active: The memory usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold. (ChassisId=[ChassisId],SlotId=[SlotId])

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

The device continuously samples the storage usage, such as the memory usage and storage medium usage. In a sampling period (number of consecutive overload times x sampling interval), if the usage sampled every time is greater than the overload threshold, this alarm is generated.

UsageType	Overload type. 1: CPU; 2: memory; 3: disk; 4: flash memory; 5: CF card; 6: physical memory.

Possible Causes

The memory usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.

Procedure

1. Run the display memory-usage slot slot-id command to check the memory usage and run the display memory-usage threshold slot slot-id command to check the overload threshold.

If the memory usage is higher than the overload threshold, go to Step 2.
If the memory usage is lower than the overload threshold, go to Step 4.

2. Delete unnecessary services and configurations to reduce memory usage. Then check whether the alarm is cleared. When deleting service configurations, submit the configurations in small batches (3 to 5 records at a time).

If the alarm is no longer generated, the problem is resolved.
If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.

3. Run the set memory-usage threshold threshold-value restore restore-value slot slot-id command to adjust the overload threshold and check whether the alarm is cleared.

If the alarm is no longer generated, the problem is resolved.
If the alarm persists, go to Step 4.

4. Collect log files and contact Huawei technical support.
