Configuring Ring Network Topology Isolation in an EVPN Access Scenario

Context

In a scenario where multiple ring networks that belong to the same BD but different VLANs are connected to an EVPN, you can configure ring network topology isolation on AC sub-interfaces to isolate the topologies of these ring networks and reduce the number of Layer 2 protocol packets transparently transmitted between the networks. In this way, the sub-interfaces transparently transmit Layer 2 protocol packets only after the packets pass the VLAN check.

Procedure

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the interface { interface-name | interface-type interface-number } command to enter the AC sub-interface view.
  3. Run the link-protocol transport { lacp | lldp | bpdu | cdp | udld } untag-vlan-check command to configure ring network topology isolation. In this way, the sub-interface transparently transmits Layer 2 protocol packets only after the packets pass the VLAN check.
  4. Run the commit command to commit the configuration.
